About Us

Dyffryn Nurseries is South Wales' Premier Garden Nursery and 'Hidden Gem' based just outside Cardiff's centre within The Vale of Glamorgan.

Our aim is to source Architectural Plants from throughout the UK and Europe, allowing you access to the best quality Specimens in one location. We have embraced the concept of the' Instant Garden' and aim to supply mature trees & shrubs at highly competitive prices.

Our specimen plants include box & bay topiary, bamboo, olives, lemons, palms, Japanese acers, camellia & rhododendron, grape vines and wisteria. 

From Novenber to April we stock seasonal bare root hedging whips and native trees including beech, hawthorn, hornbeam, rowan, ash, silver birch and crab apple. The specimen trees are available as standards, feathered and multistems.

We aim to keep a constant stock of mature screening & hedging plants including photinia, laurel, evergreen oak, thuja, yew, blue cupressus, bamboo and leylandii. We also supply container grown trees, shrubs, climbers, conifers, ground cover, grasses and ferns.

To complement our plant range, we have sourced a fantastic selection of formal and contemporary pots, containers & troughs in materials including stone, terracotta, granite, fibre glass and slate. The range also includes XXL sized pots to accomodate our largest specimens!

We can be found tucked away on Home farm, close to Dyffryn Gardens and accessed from Cardiff taking the A48 to St. Nicholas or from Barry taking Five Mile Lane. Map

Sourcing Plants

If we do not keep in stock the plant you require, we can source them for you. Orders can be taken by phone, fax or e-mail.

Plants can be collected during Nursery Hours. Deliveries can be made within the South Wales area as well as Nationwide throughout the UK.. Please contact us for further details or a quote for supply and delivery.

Planting Schemes

We can offer assistance in the design of your garden, choosing the ideal plants to suit your location and your individual planting requirements i.e. Container garden, Low maintenance etc

Quoting for Landscape Professionals

We would like to quote for your planting projects. Orders can be delivered directly to site or stored at Dyffryn and delivered as and when you need them. We can offer Full Order Sourcing for your convenience and an Account facility subject to references is available.
